New year, new game.


This time we were tasked with making a fully fledged game. We wanted to make a game that was similar to "Slay the Spire", a strategic card dungeon crawling game with simple mechanics that take time to master.






I coded most of the main gameplay mechanics in this project being:

  • Enemy spawn

  • Turn based combat system

  • Locking cards in at turn end

  • Special card passives

  • Map progression with randomly generated rooms

  • Character selection

  • Cutscenes

  • Shop

  • Rest stops/Save points

  • Boss mechanics

  • Burn/Discard function (scraped for main game)
